Maya (Install)

Overview

You can connect Maya with Exodus SDK for importing dynamic content into your levels. 

Attention: Exodus SDK is only compatible with Maya 2019.

Installation process

root  your root folder, where content, bins, etc. are located.


  1. Find and select these .dll-files in root\bin_x64\plugins

  2. Copy into the Maya's folder: C:\Program Files\autodesk\Maya2019\bin\
  3. Copy two .dll-files MayaBatchExport.nll.dll and u_plugin_mb.dll from the folder: root\bin_x64\plugins\Maya\2019 into the Maya's folder: C:\Program Files\autodesk\Maya2019\bin\plug-ins\

  4. Copy the file shelf_uEngine.mel from the folder root\bin_x64\plugins\Maya\shelf\shelf_uEngine.mel into the folder C:\Users\USER_NAME\Documents\maya\2019\prefs\shelves. 

  5. Run Maya 2019

  6. There will be one new tab called uEngine.
     
    and two new buttons: 

  • uBEx  opens Batch Export Window
  • bnOn  creates the attribute bone with the value "True", which is for exporting models from meshes without the skin.
