hit (action)

Overview

Deal a specified amount of damage to the target object. You can also define the hit type (wound, fire, etc.). Useful for killing NPCs and monsters. 

Inputs

activateStarts hitting the object.

Outputs

finishFires an event when the hit is complete.

Refs

targetThe target for a hit.
initiator
  • Source of hitting.
  • Can be empty.
  • By default, the initiator is the player. It is governed by the Hit Source Filter in the properties.

Properties

AmountThe amount of damage you want to inflict with the hit.
Bones

Which bones you want to hit.

Hit type

Damage type. Description of it is here: \content\scripts\types.lua

Forbid AIIf enabled, the damage caused by an AI is ignored.
Use Weapon

If enabled and the initiator is human, the active weapon class will be taken into account for the hit processing.

Forbid Sound

If enabled, the player doesn't react or make a sound when hit.
