Overview

Sound schemes for various animations, player states, and also for environments are set up here.


Toolbar

OptionDescription
Back ButtonUndo selection.
Forward ButtonRedo selection.
Find filter This is where you type in what you are looking for.
Х button

Cancel typing.

It is VERY easy to forget about clearing the Find field and then spend minutes wondering where all the properties are!
So, be sure to clear it up from any words or letters after locating the property you have been looking for. What you type into this field works as a filter, showing you only a handful of properties, that correspond to filter.
Use the |X| button or your Del key on a keyboard to clear the field.

RMB Utils

OptionDescription
Add Scheme Item...Adds an item to the selected scheme and channel.
Add Scheme Item by Sound Name...Adds an item to the selected scheme and channel by choosing certain sounds in the Select Sound window.
Add Scheme...Adds a new sound scheme.
Rename...Renames the selected scheme/item.
Clone...Clones the selected scheme/item.
DeleteDeletes the selected scheme/item.
ExpandExpands the current list.
CollapseCollapses the current list.
Reveal In ExplorerOpens an explorer window to show you the selected sound file.
Expand AllExpands all lists.
Collapse AllCollapses all lists.
FilterShows/hides the filter toolbar.
Plain ModeShows all blocks in the alphabetical order without a hierarchy.
Advanced FilterEnables display of the advanced filter. This is where you can filter properties by categories.

Shows only the properties that were changed.

Editor Play Options

OptionDescription
Accrue TimeThe period of time a sound takes to fade in to full volume.
Auto PlayPlays sounds automatically when selected.
Looped Loops the sound playback.
Preview Voice

If a sound with the type "voice" is played, it will be played with the chosen voice..

NameThe name of a selected item.
Enabled Enables the selected item.
Force OutSets the mode of forcing an item out.
Sound Sets the sound that the selected item uses.
PrioritySets the priority of the selected item.
Channel Sets the channel number for the selected item.
Game TypeChooses the game type for the selected item.
Start Time
  • Min
Sets the minimum time interval between two successive playbacks of the selected item.
  • Max
Sets the time interval between two successive playbacks of the selected item.
Stop Time
  • Min

The time that remains active after the sound ends.

  • Max
Env Distance
  • Min
Sets the minimum distance from the player that the selected item can be played at.
  • Max
Sets the maximum distance from the player that the selected item can be played at.
Enemy TypeChooses the enemy type for the selected item.
Role Type Sets the role type for the selected item.
Mental StatesSets the states (of a monster or an NPC) that the selected item can be played in.

Selected Objects by Property

Select all objects that have the same value of a selected property as the value of the selected object.
Entities Filter
  • Add Objects by Property  add all objects with the same property and value to the Entity filter window.
  • Remove Objects by Property  delete all objects with the same property and value in the Entity filter window.
Reset to Default Reset the property to default values. 
CopyCopy the value of the selected property.
Paste Paste the value of the selected property.
Export Properties This function is unavailable.
Import Properties This function is unavailable.
Edit Hint Edit a hint for the selected property. The hint is stored here: tools/editor/meta/props_metadata.lua
Show Description Show the panel description of the selected property, if it exists.
Add to Highlight List Add the selected property to the highlighted list.
Show Highlighted Only If enabled, this will show only the highlighted properties.
Edit Custom CaptionYou can rename properties with custom captions.
Clear Custom Caption Reset custom captions of properties.
Disable Custom Captions Disable the display of custom captions.
Show Advanced Filter Enables the display of the advanced filter. This is where you can filter properties by categories.
