Debug

Overview

This tab includes a set of buttons that enable and disable some parts of the debugging draw. Most of the buttons change the status commands which are available in the game console.

Stats

Stats

Popup menu, each item toggles a corresponding part of the on-screen stats (e.g. st_menus).

Debug AI-Scripts

Popup menu, each item toggles a corresponding part of the AI debugs.

Debug Sound

Toggles the following console commands which control debugging for sound rendering (s_dbg_draw, s_dbg_draw_name, s_dbg_draw_stopped, s_dbg_stat_active).

Draw

Wireframe

Enables/disables the drawing of a wireframe in the rendering mode. Shortcut: F2.

EditorEnables/disables the drawing of all editor shapes and info.
Preview FoliageEnables/disables the drawing of foliage rendering.
Portals Enables/disables the drawing of portal rendering.
Portals infoEnables/disables the drawing of portal info rendering.
Preview Foliage Colors

After choosing a color set in the Foliage Manager, the assigned color sets will be marked in the Scene. For example, if you chose yellow, relevant foliage sectors will be marked in yellow.

Entity Spheres

Marks each visible entity in the viewport with a red sphere (used for entity density debugs).

Entity CrossesMarks each visible entity in the viewport with a red cross (used for entity density debugs).
Cull Dist

Cull Entity Spheres/Crosses by using cull distance.


Physics 

Draw Active

Enables drawing physics debugs (console commands: ph_dbg_render 1, phv_awake_only 1, phv_collision_shapes 1, phv_dynamic 1, ph_dbg_render_range 500). The result can be checked in-game with r_editor 1 while observing some moving (non-sleeping) physics objects.

Hide Active

Disables drawing physics debugs (console commands:ph_dbg_render 0, phv_awake_only 0, phv_collision_shapes 0, phv_dynamic 0). The result can be checked in-game with r_editor 1 while observing some moving (non-sleeping) physics objects.

Always Update

Doesn't stop rendering when the application is inactive.


Slowmo

Value

Increases or decreases the slow motion factor.


Refresh

Models

Reloads model files.

Textures

Reloads texture files.

Config

Reloads config files.


Shaders

Full Rebuild

Recompiles shaders.

Auto Rebuild Preset

Auto rebuilds shaders when changed.

Force Full Shader on Update

Always compiles latest shaders and doesn't use default placeholders.

Sound

Mute

Mutes all sounds.
