Effect

Effects are special game objects that have no collision or raycasting options but allow for both dynamic and static models.

This can be useful for adding a static prop as a dynamic entity but only in a visual sense.

However, their main purpose is to be used as particles and/or sounds.

Similarly to other objects, you can set up a Model and attach a particle or sound to it.

Placement and Setup:

There are several ways of how to add an effect to a level:

  1. Look for General → Effect in the Entities Toolbar.
  2. Look for Effect in the Entity List Window.
  3. By using the Shortcut "X+LMB" on the level.

An effect should appear as a pink transparent cube on the scene.
